Head Coach - 13u

James is a former Major League Baseball right-handed pitcher best known for his time with the Atlanta Braves. A standout athlete from La Cueva High School, he earned a full scholarship to the University of Hawaii before being selected in the 4th round (131st overall) of the 2004 MLB Draft by the Braves.

Known for his confidence, command, and mental toughness, James developed a deep appreciation for the mental side of the game—especially through his recovery from Tommy John surgery in 2010. During rehab, he recognized the impact that private pitching coaches could have on young athletes .

In 2016, James founded Pro4mer, a platform connecting youth athletes and parents with former and current pro players for private, one-on-one coaching sessions. Based in Orlando, the service enables easy booking, secure payment, and a money-back satisfaction guarantee.

Now a coach with Orlando Baseball Prospects, James specializes in:

  • Improving strike percentage

  • Increasing velocity

  • Strengthening the mental aspects of pitching

Whether you’re aiming to fine-tune technique or build mental resilience, James helps athletes develop confidence and consistency on the mound.
